A proper pub with good food and local beers on tap. Service is great and the menu provides good options from pub classics through to more modern, healthier options. All done very nicely whilst staying true to a proper local pub feel (i.e. they've avoided any gastro-pubby vibes) whilst being very welcoming to non-locals like myself :)

We were looking for a cozy pub with a good roast and couldn’t be happier we chose the Bridford Inn. The food was delicious and well priced (£17-£20) for a full and generous roast. The service was quick, staff very friendly… would definitely recommend!

What a lovely pub in a beautiful setting. We had such a fantastic Sunday roast, the best we've had for a long time. All of the staff were very friendly. We'll definitely come again.

What a gem of a pub. Wonderful, friendly welcome from the staff. Fantastic decor and atmosphere. I had the pulled pork Korean bao buns that came with a huge bowl of chips. I cannot recommend this dish enough. It was truly delicious and I'm so pleased I decided to have something different.

We booked a table for a Saturday lunch as we’d read the good reviews. Friendly welcome, good selection of ales and cider, plenty of choice on the menu with a few twists on the traditional pub choices which we liked (though plenty of options if you want traditional pub grub!). Food was great, generous portions and very tasty. We’d definitely come back again!

We booked this for a celebration meal on my son's 21st birthday (which I had said when booking the table). The food all round was excellent, my son chose the Bridford inn because they do a veggie pakora burger and he was very complimentary about it. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is no one told me when I booked the table that there would be the Rugby being shown all evening on a large screen in a small pub. Luckily the weather was warm enough in October to sit outside and eat, and the barman was very helpful. I would have preferred to have been told when booking for a celebration meal, to know that they were showing Rugby as we are not a sports family and it definitely impacted on our family occasion. I would however, happily return for such good good quality food.
Vegetarian options: Nice to have somewhere that is more imaginative with a veggie menu

What an amazing place. Beautiful location and scrumptious food. Probably the best meal we had in our 7 days in Devon. Lovely hospitality and great cider 👍 if we ever visit Devon again we will definitely be visiting here.
